Easy Peasy Lemon, Olive Oil and Sugar Scrub

14 Jan

Who doesn’t want to enjoy insanely supah smooth and oil-free skin? To help welcome the New Year, it’s time to enjoy new skin as well. Your face can’t shed all of the dead skin cells by itself, and can cause milia (little bumps on the face, like baby pimples)  if neglected. Exfoliation is good for the skin. I’ve yet to try exfoliating products for the face from the market, this stuff is really safe since it’s all natural.

Remove Nail Polish with Just 1 Cotton Ball!

Nail polish is a metaphor of life. You enjoy it for a time period but then you must come to face the inevitable. Nails grow long, nail polish can’t catch up. So you bid it farewell, erase it and be left with just a memory of how beautiful it was. Or so John Green would probably say if he liked nail polish. Nail polish removal is always tricky. You use more than 1 cotton ball per hand, rubbing and rubbing your nails as hard as you can to remove all the color. In my case I feel like I’m shaving ice when I rub-a-dub-dub since my nail curves pretty deeply near the surrounding skin. That’s bad news for nail beds too since too much friction causes them damage, possibly scratching the first few layers of your nails.

Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm Review

24 Oct

This lip balm review is brought to you by someone who likes to skip lipstick on most days. I usually have a lot of eyeliner on my lids, and wouldn’t want to overpower that with my lip color.

I’ve been using Maybelline’s Color Bloom lip balm for about a year now, mostly because it’s cheaper and already has SPF 16. Compared to their more popular line of Baby Lips, this Maybelline lip balm is different because it starts out with a clear stick, and changes to a pink color when you apply it on your lips.
